Soda ash is the product with the highest production volume in the basic chemical industry; the rise of the chemical industry began with the significant development of the soda ash industry. Soda ash is a basic industrial raw material with a wide range of applications. It is closely related to heavy industries such as steel and non-ferrous metal smelting, as well as light industries including papermaking, glass production, textiles, and food processing. Additionally, it plays a significant role in scientific and cultural endeavors as well as people’s daily lives; thus, it holds a prominent position in the national economy. Its production and consumption levels indicate the **degree of industrial development**. China is one of the countries in the world where the soda ash industry developed earliest. China’s soda ash industry boasts the longest history among all chemical industries. It has a solid foundation in production technology, theoretical research, production capacity, engineering design and construction, as well as equipment manufacturing, ranking among the top in the world. (Japan is the biggest competitor to China’s soda ash industry!) ) Dr. Hou Debang is a founder of China’s chemical industry and the pioneer of the soda ash industry. His “Hou’s Process for Soda Ash Production” broke the monopoly on soda ash production technologies at the time and contributed to the development of the global soda ash industry. Mr. Hou personally oversaw the construction of Asia’s first soda ash plant; the soda ash produced there has consistently maintained a leading position in terms of quality worldwide. In view of this, it is planned to open a "soda ash industry" section in the "Industry Technology Exchange Area". Topics of discussion are ； Technical discussions on salt refining, soda ash production from nepheline and mirabilite, the ammonia-soda process and the Hou’s process (including shift-gas-based and rich-gas-based soda ash production), the mining of natural soda ash, as well as related industrial products such as ammonium chloride, caustic soda, baking soda, calcium chloride, ammonium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate monohydrate, sodium carbonate decahydrate, compound fertilizers, and sodium percarbonate; technical exchanges regarding utility systems in soda ash plants, safety technologies, and the design of soda ash plants. This proposal is submitted to all managers for their approval. And I invite all sea friends to participate in the discussion.
It’s possible to set up this section. After setting it up, we can give it a try for half a year; if the number of posts remains roughly the same, we’ll keep it.

This proposal is excellent. Soda ash also constitutes a major component of the inorganic chemical industry and plays a crucial role within it. As someone with a background in soda ash production, I wholeheartedly agree with this proposal.
I’ve been paying attention to this direction, and I agree that we should give it a try for half a year to see how it goes.
