Can TIG welding be used for the butt-welded branch fittings of liquid chlorine pipelines?

May I ask if TIG welding can be used for the butt-welded branch pipe fittings in liquid chlorine pipelines? The installation company said that the gap between the branch pipe fittings and the main pipeline is too large, making it difficult to use TIG welding. Also, can this weld joint be inspected using radiographic testing? Thank you
For our pipelines carrying hazardous materials, we use TIG welding for the base layer and then weld again with MIG welding
