I have a question regarding ignition in a triple-combustion furnace using hydrochloric acid: after ignition, when the furnace door is just closed, the flame inside appears pale blue, and there is black smoke which makes it impossible to see the flame clearly. What could be the reason for this? Bonus points for the responder, thanks!

Will it turn black if nitrogen is present in the hydrogen, as it’s just been started up after electrolysis?
Long-flame or short-flame burner? Is there any issue with the purity of the chlorine?
The purity of chlorine is fine; the hydrogen burner is longer than that of chlorine, and hydrogen contains some nitrogen
The hydrogen was ignited, and then chlorine was added; the flame turned pale blue. After closing the furnace door, black smoke appeared. Increasing the amount of chlorine gradually resolved the issue – but what exactly is this black smoke?
It seems no one has encountered this situation
Hydrogen purity, chlorine purity? Is there also HCL purity? Under normal circumstances, the purity of HCL is not high at the beginning of operation; if the purity of the feed gas is insufficient, poor mixing during combustion should result in a yellow flame. It is best to analyze the free chlorine in HCL more thoroughly after starting the furnace.
I’ve never encountered that; in all cases, the flame changes directly from pale to blue. Black smoke has appeared as well, but it’s extinguished as soon as it shows up
