Our company uses food-grade 32% liquid caustic to produce food additives, and we found that there were high levels of sodium chlorate residues in the products. Further investigations revealed that liquid caustic produced by the ion-exchange membrane method always contains sodium chlorate residues. What is the typical level of sodium chlorate residues that can be controlled in such liquid caustic? (Expressed in PPm.)
It can be expressed in g/l, below 10

Do you know if there are any plants in China that produce liquid caustic using the diaphragm process? And how much sodium chlorate residue can there be in caustic soda?
The chlorate content in ion-exchange membrane caustic soda is less than 20 micrograms per gram.
