Dear colleagues in the industry, have you ever tried to reuse the dilute acid produced by acid waste treatment systems in order to reduce the burden on wastewater treatment? I’ve heard that some companies in the mineral acid sector do this, but I’m not sure if it will have an impact on the quality of their products. I would appreciate any insights from those with more experience!

My original idea was to add this dilute acid to the dry absorption system in order to reduce the burden on wastewater treatment. To treat this wastewater, either liquid alkali or lime is required, and both are costly. If this approach can be utilized, it will not only help save on wastewater treatment costs but also reduce the need for fresh water (the amount used is minimal, so it can be disregarded)

By recovering this waste acid using the wet acid production method, the problem of dilute acid no longer exists.
