Hydrogen peroxide is used to treat sulfuric acid exhaust gas; diluted sulfuric acid must have the hydrogen peroxide removed before being sent back to the dry absorption process, otherwise it can cause corrosion and pipe failure
A hydrogen peroxide solution is added to the desulfurization tower, where it comes into contact with sulfur dioxide in the flue gas. The oxidizing property of hydrogen peroxide is used to oxidize sulfur dioxide into sulfuric acid, which then enters the circulating liquid, thereby enabling the separation of sulfur dioxide from the flue gas and achieving desulfurization.
Before returning to the dry absorption system, the dilute acid containing hydrogen peroxide reacts with sulfur dioxide in the exhaust gas at the secondary absorption outlet
