Shift of conversion temperature before acid production overhaul

Before the major overhaul for acid production using zinc concentrate, the conversion temperature was increased; the inlet temperatures at stages 2 and 3 were on the high side, and the temperature difference was also large. After restarting the plant following the maintenance work, the catalyst in stage 2 had developed a memory effect. How can the catalyst’s activity be restored and how can the temperature be controlled?
