In recent years, several companies in China’s sulfuric acid industry have emerged to provide catalytic vacuum mechanical screening services; in order to compete, these companies sometimes assure customers of a certain level of screening loss. In fact, the screening loss is divided into two parts: one is the inherent loss, such as the catalyst already being powdered and fragmented particles being present in the catalyst layer ; The other aspect is something that companies providing screening services must ensure, namely the breakage rate during the screening process (which is of course also related to the strength of the catalyst). The screening loss of the catalyst is related to the following factors: 1. The mesh size of the sieve used. Some companies claim to be able to achieve very low screening losses, and to do so they necessarily use screens with very fine mesh sizes. P 2: Screening speed – the faster the screening speed, the higher the screening losses will naturally be. 3. The height of the bed layer in which the catalyst is screened; for example, catalyst screening losses are higher when it is located at the surface of the converter (and of course, the screening speed is also higher). 4. The design of the vacuum screening equipment – a good design can result in a lower rate of catalyst damage. 5. Catalyst strength, degree of catalyst pulverization, and separation efficiency from the previous screening. If the catalyst in the bed is mixed with ceramic balls, the breakage rate will be higher when the catalyst and ceramic balls are drawn out together for screening. In fact, it’s quite simple to ensure the breakage rate: samples can be taken at appropriate times and stored, and manual screening (using screens with the same specifications as those in screening machines) can be employed for measurement. The amount of damage that exceeds what can be detected by manual screening is the breakage rate that the screening service provider must guarantee.
I see, thanks to the original poster for sharing
Which manufacturers do this? I have two systems here (120Kt/a and 150Kt/a) – can you provide a quote?
I represent Chongqing BOLITE Technology Co., Ltd. During this exhibition in Lanzhou, our company highlighted the fully automatic intelligent catalytic screening machine; we charge 500 yuan per cubic meter for screening services, and the equipment can also be purchased separately.
Thank you. I’ll talk to the company and have them get in touch with you.
