Is it necessary to install a block valve inside the acid outlet of sulfuric acid tanks? The standard does not have this clause
I don’t know the specifications. Our original old storage tank had a plug valve, with the valve stem extending from the bottom of the tank to the top. Some are rusted and immobile, while others have corroded and broken valve stem pins. It can’t be used either way. Once, during normal operation, the valve was open, and the valve stem lifted the valve core. Over time, the pins that connect the internal valve stem or the valve stem to the valve core break, causing the valve core to drop and close. The flow rate of the transfer pump fluctuated, causing the downstream equipment to stop operating. Later, it was canceled when new jars were added.
This is still useful; in case the external valve gets damaged, it can be shut down urgently. As for the corrosion issue, corrosion-resistant materials can be used
