Does anyone have a good method for quickly identifying which heat pipe in the heat exchange unit is leaking?
I’m not sure what a heat transfer converter looks like; it would be best to send a schematic diagram to facilitate discussion.
The operating temperatures for the first and second type of replacements are high; when there is a leak, the high pressure in the shell side (SO2+O2) can cause substances to leak into the tube side (SO3), resulting in an increase in the oxygen content in that tube side. Oxygen oxidizes the inner wall of the tube side at high temperatures, forming red iron trioxide, which gives the inner wall a red color. In essence, if the inner wall of the tube turns red, it indicates that there is a leak.
It also depends on the setup of the heat exchange process; for certain heat exchange processes, it is very easy to detect leaks in the III-to-II exchange step. Fundamentally, it is necessary to address the issues of drying and acidity in the desiccant mist eliminator.
