Why not produce hundred acids directly?

Why is 98% acid combined with nicotinic acid to obtain hundred-acid? Is it due to considerations regarding corrosion? Or something else; I hope experts can give some advice
98 acid and nicotinic acid come with existing manufacturing processes and production facilities, and are mature and standardized products available on the market. It is not necessarily cost-effective to produce 100% sulfuric acid directly.
I’ve encountered the same problem before: when trying to produce 100% acid, the absorption efficiency isn’t sufficient in a single stage. Instead of building an additional tower after constructing the 100% acid tower, it’s more economical to use a smaller nicotinic acid tower and direct a portion of the gas to that tower; the resulting nicotinic acid can then be mixed with 98% acid (since the diameter of the 100% acid tower is larger than that of the nicotinic acid tower)
First, it has strong corrosivity; second, its absorption efficiency is low (optimal concentration: 98.3%)
