Scope of application specified in GB8163: Seamless steel pipes used for transporting ordinary fluids. Concentrated sulfuric acid is a highly hazardous substance; does it belong to ordinary fluids? What counts as an ordinary fluid?
Concentrated sulfuric acid is not a normal fluid; it is a highly corrosive chemical substance. Ordinary fluids generally refer to fluids such as water, air, oil, etc., that do not have special corrosive properties or require high-temperature conditions. Therefore, seamless steel pipes according to GB8163 standard are not suitable for transporting concentrated sulfuric acid. Pipes made of more specialized materials that can resist sulfuric acid corrosion need to be selected. .
According to SYT5037, oil cannot be considered a general fluid.
Anhydrous sulfuric acid can be used with 20# steel

Seamless steel pipes can be used, but care must be taken not to change the sulfuric acid concentration arbitrarily, nor to raise its temperature. It is also important to note that the pipeline should not be flushed with water or steam when it is not in use. If the cost is acceptable, it is recommended to use acid-resistant steel pipelines.
It is better to use 304L material pipelines.
Highly hazardous media must not be transported using 8163 pipes
