On July 29, the electronic-grade sulfuric acid production unit of Sinopec Nanhua Company was successfully commissioned for the first time, producing products successfully; with a production capacity of 20,000 tons per year, this marks the successful application of the company’s high-end electronic-grade sulfuric acid production technology owned by its own intellectual property, thereby helping the company take a crucial step forward in its transformation and development. Electronic-grade sulfuric acid, also known as high-purity sulfuric acid or ultra-pure sulfuric acid, belongs to the category of ultra-clean, high-purity reagents. As a key fundamental chemical reagent indispensable for the development of microelectronics technology, it is one of the eight commonly used chemical reagents in the semiconductor industry. In the chip manufacturing process, electronic-grade sulfuric acid can effectively remove oils, impurity particles, and other substances adhering to the wafers. Its purity and cleanliness have a significant impact on the yield, electrical performance, and reliability of electronic components. The G4 grade electronic-grade sulfuric acid produced by Nanhua Company for the semiconductor industry has a metal ion content of less than one billionth per gram. Nanhua Company possesses multiple production facilities for basic chemicals such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid. The G4-grade electronic-grade sulfuric acid plant that was successfully commissioned this time was upgraded by replacing an old sulfuric acid production unit in the company; it uses evaporation purification for production. To ensure the smooth commissioning of the equipment, Nanhua Company carefully selected technicians and key operators to conduct specialized training. Before starting up the plant, specific cleaning plans are developed for different equipment and pipelines to ensure that no areas remain uncleaned, thus laying a solid foundation for a successful plant startup and the production of qualified products. Next, Nanhua Company will continue to expand its experiments in the field of chemicals such as electronic-grade nitric acid, electronic-grade hydrochloric acid, and electronic-grade sodium hydroxide, in order to establish a more complete high-end industrial chain.
