A piece of the catalyst grate plate in the conversion section broke off, and a small amount of catalyst fell into the gas chamber. What are the effects on conversion resistance and temperature? Based on previous operation results, the first stage performed well; the temperature difference in the second stage increased by 60–80 degrees. Stages three and four also operated well, with good conversion rates and acceptable exhaust emissions. There was a decline in resistance later on.
If it is only a very small portion, it is difficult to detect; damage to the screen at the edges of the converter or improper overlapping can lead to catalyst gas leakage and short circuits
It depends on where this grate is located If you find that the comb is missing, it means the converter has already been turned on! According to normal analysis, the resistance will decrease, and the conversion rate per segment will drop!
The temperature of the subsequent bed layer will increase, and over time this can cause the catalyst to develop a memory effect
During this maintenance work, the grating plates were restored; hot blowing was carried out before shutdown
After restarting the plant following this maintenance, the conversion temperature is normal
