When the price of sulfur, a fundamental chemical raw material, soared by over 115% within a year, with daily increases reaching as much as 21.97%, this reflects not merely simple fluctuations in supply and demand, but rather an inevitable outcome of the interaction of various factors such as the global energy landscape, geopolitics, and industrial policies. As of October 2025, the spot price of sulfur at Zhenjiang Port had reached 3,330 yuan per ton, up by 1,785 yuan per ton from the lowest level at the beginning of the year, representing a increase of over 115%. Especially after National Day, the price quickly surpassed the 3,300 yuan/ton mark, reaching a new high for the year.
