The main purpose is to prevent corrosion of the equipment and pipelines; after maintenance, the sulfur combustion furnace is dried and stored. Boilers require dry or wet maintenance, and the system needs to be isolated from air using blind flanges. Acid should not be introduced into the acid system, and if it does get in, regular circulation and replacement are necessary. Lubricate the valves regularly and open and close them periodically; also, turn the moving equipment manually on a regular basis. It’s not a big problem to leave it for a year or two.
