With an investment of over 2.05 billion yuan, preliminary work has begun on another chemical project in Inner Mongolia. Recently, the project to produce 500,000 tons per year of concentrated hydrogen peroxide and 300,000 tons per year of sodium chlorate via salt-based methods, carried out by Inner Mongolia Haofeng Chemical Co., Ltd., was officially approved by the local development and reform commission, and the preliminary work is progressing in an orderly manner. The total investment for this project is 2,053.65 million yuan, all of which is financed with own funds. The construction site is located on the West Ring Road of the Nalinhe Industrial Park in the Sulihe Economic Development Zone, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The planned construction period is from November 2024 to November 2027. The project will construct a 500,000-ton/year concentrated hydrogen peroxide plant, a 300,000-ton/year sodium chlorate plant, as well as utility facilities. Public records show that Inner Mongolia Haofeng Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shaanxi Xingtai Investment Group Co., Ltd. Previously, the person in charge of the special project team in Wushen Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, met together with relevant departments under the banner’s administration to discuss matters related to the construction of projects such as concentrated hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate, and propylene oxide, with General Manager Shang Zhi of Inner Mongolia Haofeng Chemical Co., Ltd. also attending the meeting. Responsible officials from the Wushen Banner Development and Reform Commission, the Sulihe Economic Development Zone’s Development and Investment Promotion Bureau, as well as relevant departments such as the Banner Natural Resources Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Water Resources Bureau, and Environmental Protection Bureau attended the discussion.
