According to a report from Sinochem New Network, on February 2, Shandong Daon High Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Daon Co.) issued a statement announcing that, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Daon High Polymer Materials (Singapore) Investment Co., Ltd., it would acquire the plastic and engineering plastic compounds business unit of the South Korean chemical giant Huyndai Chemical in Vietnam. Following the completion of this transaction, Daon Co., Ltd. will be able to get closer to its key overseas customers through localized production and operations, thereby enhancing its competitiveness in international markets. According to the announcement, the plastics and engineering plastic compounds business unit under Hecheng Chemical plans to establish a new company through separation (hereinafter referred to as the target company), and will transfer 100% of the shares of this target company to Daon Polymer Materials (Singapore) Investment Co., Ltd. The provisional total purchase price for these shares is $15.737 million. Dawn Shares stated that this acquisition is an important step in the company’s pursuit of its globalization strategy, and it aligns with the trend of key customers shifting their supply chains to regions such as Vietnam. Through localized production and operations, the company can ensure supply from nearby locations, strengthen its strategic partnerships with key customers, enhance customer loyalty, and effectively respond to changes in the competitive landscape of the industry. At the same time, a localized layout will significantly reduce cross-border logistics costs, shorten product delivery times, and improve the efficiency of after-sales support. It will meet customers’ needs regarding supply chain stability, response speed, and cost optimization, while enhancing the ability to secure orders from overseas markets. The establishment of this production facility in Vietnam will serve as a key hub for the company to penetrate the Southeast Asian market, systematically enhancing the overall competitiveness of its products and services and laying the foundation for long-term international expansion.
