Recently, Fangda Carbon New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (600516) has made a series of breakthrough advancements in the research, development, and industrialization of materials for new energy batteries. The graphene slurry developed independently by the company has successfully passed the phased testing conducted by CATL, a global leader in power battery manufacturing, which indicates that the strategic partnership between the two parties has continued to deepen since February 2025. According to Fangda Carbon, since establishing a strategic partnership with CATL, the two parties have worked together on research and development in areas such as hard carbon, silicon carbon, high-end anode materials, graphene materials, and oxide solid electrolytes; a total of over 40 batches of samples have been submitted so far. Regarding graphene slurries, the performance of this product has been tested on a pilot basis by CATL; the storage stability goal of one month has been achieved, and efforts are now being made to reach the goal of three months of stable performance. Regarding hard carbon materials, the main performance parameters of the products meet CATL’s technical requirements, and the company has been advised to develop the capability for pilot-scale production as soon as possible. In the field of porous carbon for silicon-carbon applications, the company’s self-developed high-strength porous carbon and graphitized porous carbon products possess significant technical advantages. CATL has explicitly requested an increase in the number of sample evaluations, with these samples to be used for full-size battery tests. Furthermore, the oxide solid electrolyte samples were tested by industry leaders, and all specifications met the required standards. While deepening its cooperation with CATL, Fangda Carbon is actively expanding its customer network in the field of new energy batteries. At present, the company’s silicon carbon and porous carbon materials have established connections with various enterprises in the field of new energy materials and batteries, facilitating substantive cooperation ; After providing kilogram-scale samples of its hard carbon anode material to a well-known domestic enterprise, the test results proved to be excellent. The client explicitly stated that it would initiate in-depth cooperation once our company becomes capable of providing a stable supply at the pilot production level. To accelerate the transformation of scientific research results, Fangda Carbon is speeding up the pilot-scale construction projects for porous carbon, hard carbon, and oxide solid electrolytes. At present, the relevant projects have obtained the necessary permits for site entry, as well as approvals related to safety, environmental protection, and environmental impact assessment; the construction plan has been optimized. Bids are now being called for compliance-related design work and equipment procurement, with the goal of completing all bidding processes by the end of May 2026. The construction of the graphene slurry production line is also progressing in an orderly manner; the layout plan for the line has been designed, and work on environmental impact assessments and energy evaluations is underway. A responsible official from Fangda Carbon said that the company will continue to focus on advancing its core technologies, accelerate the development of pilot-scale production capabilities, and enhance the competitiveness of its products, thereby contributing to the localization and advancement of new energy materials in China.
