Today I went to the control room to check the readings of a mass flow meter. When I plotted the flow rate trend over the recent period, I noticed that the flow rate fluctuated between 40 tons/h and 70 tons/h, and this fluctuation occurred very frequently. I asked the operator on duty, but he didn’t know what was going on; he said it had always been like this. I would like to ask if anyone else has encountered this situation – is it normal, or is there some problem?
Unstable liquid levels cause unstable flow rates; it should be normal! How about you use a single-loop flow control system and ignore the liquid level!
First, confirm whether it is a problem with the mass flow meter, and then consider issues with the pump or pipelines
