Lanzhou Petrochemical has successfully produced semi-refined paraffin that meets the new national standards. Recently, the semi-refined paraffin produced by Lanzhou Petrochemical’s 50,000 tons per year paraffin production facility was successfully manufactured and loaded onto trucks for shipment. Through specialized technical efforts and multiple rounds of trial production, this device has enabled the stable production of semi-refined paraffin. The product specifications meet the requirements of the standard **\"Semi-Refined Paraffin\" (GB/T 254—2022)\", marking a new phase in the company’s paraffin production characterized by greater precision and higher quality. It is understood that the **standard GB/T 254-2022 for Semi-refined Paraffin Wax** came into full effect on April 1, 2023; under this standard, the color/Sapphir color value was raised from not less than +18 to not less than +20, imposing higher requirements on the key performance indicators of the product. In order to meet the new national standards as soon as possible, at the beginning of this year, after completing the equipment upgrade for the 50,000 tons per year paraffin production facility, the Third Refining Department of Lanzhou Petrochemical established a specialized technical task force to carry out systematic efforts focusing on three key areas: raw material control, process optimization, and quality inspection. The project team precisely controls the width of the cut-off range and viscosity, as well as the operating parameters of the curing solvent dewaxing unit, to achieve the optimal oil removal effect ； At the same time, the mixing temperature and duration during the clay refining stage are finely adjusted, in coordination with the amount of clay added, to maximize the refining efficiency. Through multiple rounds of process optimization and repeated data verification, the semi-refined paraffin produced by Lanzhou Petrochemical’s 50,000 tons per year paraffin plant features a precisely stable melting point. Its oil content is well below the standard limits, its color is clear and transparent, and it possesses excellent light stability, making it suitable for high-end applications in various fields such as candle manufacturing, packaging paper production, and wood protection.
