As the title suggests, I’m seeking help: what is the impact of pile driving methods (drilling, impact drilling, etc.) on the vertical bearing capacity?
The codes for building foundation piles have relevant requirements; generally, the lateral resistance of the pile body is not taken into account for drilled piles. Therefore, under the same conditions, the bearing capacity of drilled piles is lower than that of driven piles. Moreover, under the same geological conditions, the lateral and end resistance of bored piles and precast piles also differ.
May I ask, under the same geological conditions, changes in climate such as variations in humidity, rain, and snow can lead to changes in the water content of different soil layers. If that is the case, the stress conditions on pile foundations will also change. I’m not sure if this understanding is correct
