The 6th cracking furnace of Sinopec’s 800,000-ton/year ethylene cracking unit has been delivered in its entirety; each such furnace is capable of producing 150,000 tons of ethylene per year. The ethylene plant at Sinopec Refining & Chemical uses the CBL cracking technology developed domestically. The process package design was carried out jointly by SEI and its partners. The plant is equipped with 6 cracking furnaces in total, including 1 gas furnace and 5 liquid furnaces, all of which have an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of ethylene, and they feature a dual-chamber structure.

The 6# cracking furnace is the core equipment of an ethylene cracking plant with a capacity of 800,000 tons per year; it is 23 meters long, 13 meters wide, 24 meters high, and weighs 680 tons. The entire convex-type module consists of two radiant section furnace chambers for the cracking furnace, along with two sets of convective section furnace tube modules. This represents Sinopec’s first attempt at using prefabricated modules that can be assembled modularly and transported as a whole to the site for installation in a cracking furnace.

It is understood that the F-006 light oil cracking furnace consists of a \"radiation-convection integrated module\" made up of a radiation section plus convection section Module 1 and Module 2; it was designed by SEI and manufactured by Ningbo Tonglian Equipment Company. This light oil cracking furnace is also the first time that SEG has attempted to deliver a complete cracking furnace module for an ethylene project; the other 5 ethylene liquid cracking furnaces at Sinopec Refining will still be installed using the traditional method.
