The omnidirectional mobile platforms in China are really amazing; I think they were featured in the program “Amazing, My Country”!
Requirements for roads are a matter of experience. More importantly, when a crawler crane is moved to a location at a distance of more than 500 meters, it takes at least a week to dismantle the boom and reassemble it; this not only affects the project timeline but also incurs costs due to the idle time of the crane. Using an SPMT self-propelled module transporter, the crawler crane can be directly transported to another site. Of course, this method of transportation can only be used within the same project site. Off-site projects are restricted by road conditions.

They are all modularly assembled to meet the volume and weight requirements of the items to be transported.
The hourly rates for crawler cranes with different lifting capacities vary. This one seems to be a 1,250-ton crawler crane; the cost per shift is probably in the tens of thousands of yuan.
