The major maintenance has begun; at the site where the cover and flanges of the high-pressure hydrogenation reactor are being removed, this task may seem simple, but it requires great care. First of all, it is necessary to ensure that the hydrogenation reactor comes to a complete stop, that all pressure is released, and that the temperature drops – safety comes first. Then, the site needs to be cleaned up thoroughly, so there are no stray items that could cause tripping hazards.
The disassembly has begun; the bolts on the large cover and the nuts on the flanges must be removed carefully, and placed aside so as not to get lost. Although these bolts and nuts are small, none of them can be missing.
Special care must be taken during the disassembly process. Since the reactor was previously exposed to high pressure and high temperature, there may still be residual energy inside, and burns or explosions can occur if not handled carefully. The flanges and bolts also need to be removed carefully, otherwise they might suddenly break or fall off, which would be troublesome. At the site, one must also be careful to avoid sharp objects, and oil stains and flammable materials need to be dealt with properly, otherwise accidents can easily occur.
After taking it apart, I need to check it carefully again to see if there are any problems. Then start installing the new one. During installation, the flange must be flat, and the bolts must be tightened, but not too tightly. Everything is installed now; check it once more, and then proceed with pressure testing and leak testing.
