At 22:08 on August 8, 2025, following the completion of the final inspections by the electrical operators and engineers, the 220kV alcohol-oil substation of Guangxi Energy Chemical’s methanol-to-olefins and downstream processing integration project was successfully powered up. The 220kV alcohol-oil substation is part of the power supply infrastructure for this project; it is located within the factory complex and supplies power to the facilities there, with its electricity coming from the Guangxi power grid； As the energy core of Huayi Qinzhou Base, it provides a reliable power supply for the base. During the construction period, the project management team worked together with the general contractor, supervisor, and construction units to address challenges collectively, ensuring that the power reception process was completed on schedule and that power was successfully supplied from the first attempt. The 220kV alkanes substation is a two-story reinforced concrete frame structure building covering an area of 2,725 square meters, with a construction area of 4,225 square meters. It is equipped with 2 200 MVA oil-immersed transformers for this phase (the final capacity will be 4 200 MVA main transformers), and the voltage level is 220/35kV. There are 2 entries for 220kV cables, which are connected to the 220kV Port Station and the 220kV Linhai Station respectively ； There are 20 35kV outgoing circuits in the current phase (40 in total in the long term).
