Recently, the comprehensive utilization of gold cat carbon material resources and the utilization of exhaust gas and waste heat in Inner Mongolia have made significant progress. As a key driver for the upgrading of the local coal chemical industry, this project was fully launched in June 2024. The construction team has been working diligently to advance the project, and overall progress is satisfactory; some key milestones are on track to be achieved as planned. The total area of this project is 400 mu, with a planned total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The first phase of this project requires an investment of 500 million yuan and covers an area of 170 mu; it involves the construction of two carbon black production lines with an annual output of 60,000 tons each, along with two sets of carbon black exhaust boiler units capable of handling 40 tons per hour, as well as a steam pipeline system for the industrial park. According to those involved in the project, the 120,000-ton carbon black production facility as part of the first phase is expected to have some of its production lines operational by August this year, with the entire facility set to be fully operational by September 2026. Phase II of the project will be advanced dynamically in accordance with the expansion of coking capacity at Inner Mongolia Heimao Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. The project plans to invest an additional 1 billion yuan, acquire 230 mu of new land, build 2 carbon black production lines with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons each, 2 sets of carbon black exhaust gas boilers with a capacity of 40 tons per hour along with the necessary steam pipeline infrastructure for the industrial park, as well as a facility for the deep processing of coal tar with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons. It is expected to be completed and put into operation by 2027, establishing a complete industrial chain loop for the comprehensive utilization of coal tar, carbon black, and exhaust gases. It is understood that this project innovatively adopts a domestically leading carbon black production process, using coal coking by-products from Inner Mongolia Heimao Coal Chemical Industry as raw materials to produce high-quality carbon black. Upon completion of the project, it is expected that annual sales revenue will reach around 2.5 billion yuan, profits and taxes will amount to about 150 million yuan, and it will create employment for over 350 people.
According to a recent report by NetEase, two projects of Jinmao Carbon Materials Company have been included among the 172 major projects planned for implementation in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in 2024. The names of these two projects are “Comprehensive Resource Utilization Project” and “Exhaust Gas and Waste Heat Utilization Project”, with a total investment of approximately 520 million yuan. According to a report by the People’s Government of Wulat Houqi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the “Comprehensive Resource Utilization Project of Inner Mongolia Jinmao Carbon Materials Company” involves the construction of a facility capable of producing 120,000 tons of carbon black per year in the Qingshan Industrial Park in Wulat Houqi, Bayannur City, with an investment of around 400 million yuan. The project is constructed in two phases. In phase one, a new carbon black production line with an output of 60,000 tons per year will be built, along with 2 oil storage tanks with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters each, 2 oil storage tanks with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each, as well as factory buildings and utility facilities. In the second phase, 1 new carbon black production line with a capacity of 60,000 tons, 2 oil storage tanks with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters each, and 2 oil storage tanks with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each will be built. The planned timeline for this project is from August 2023 to August 2025. According to reports from the \"Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Online Approval Service Hall for Investment Projects,\" the \"Tail Gas and Waste Heat Utilization Project of Inner Mongolia Jinmao Carbon Materials Co., Ltd.\" involves the construction of a carbon black tail gas boiler with a capacity of 80 T/h, at an investment of around 120 million yuan. The project includes the construction of 2×40T/h carbon black flue gas boilers and 1×40T/h coke oven gas boiler (as a backup), desulfurization and denitrification systems, factory buildings, and utility facilities, covering a total area of 14,985 square meters. This project is also constructed in two phases. In the first phase, work will be carried out on building 1×40T/h carbon black exhaust boiler and 1×40T/h coke oven gas boiler (as a backup), as well as the main steam network for the park, factory buildings, and various supporting utilities. In the second phase, a new 1×40T/h carbon black exhaust boiler and related supporting facilities will be constructed. The planned construction period for this project is from March 2024 to March 2026. It is understood that Inner Mongolia Jinmao Carbon Materials Company was established on November 27, 2020, with its registered address located in Qingshan Industrial Park, Wulat Houqi, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Shandong Huadong Rubber Materials Co., Ltd. is the controlling shareholder, holding 70% of the shares.
