This is CNPC Offshore’s fourth offshore renewable energy order this year, as well as the 20th offshore renewable energy construction project it has won. **The EP Guangxi Qinzhou offshore wind power step-up substation weighs 3,800 tons and has a capacity of 900 megawatts. “This time, a completely new prefabricated module approach will be used for construction, offering higher levels of technological sophistication and system integration, which will result in significantly improved construction efficiency and quality. ”Shi Jinkai, head of the marketing department in the company’s offshore engineering division, said. In recent years, CNPC Offshore has made significant efforts to expand its services in the new energy sector, such as wind and solar power, while continuously advancing systematic innovation in new energy technologies. The company has developed 9 advanced industry technologies, including integrated construction methods, and has established a comprehensive technical system covering processing design, construction, offshore installation, and commissioning. It is among the first domestic offshore construction enterprises to possess the capability to build prefabricated modules. Currently, CNPC Offshore has 5 offshore wind power step-up stations under construction, and has delivered a total of 14 such stations as well as 1 floating photovoltaic platform for deep-sea applications.
