On August 7, with the final section of the chimney in place, the 150-meter-high desulfurization tower, which is the key component of the project aimed at achieving ultra-low emissions from the coal-fired boilers at Guizhou Kaiyang Chemical Co., Ltd. and was constructed by Guizhou Huajian Company, a subsidiary of Guizhou JianTou Group, was successfully completed. This marks the successful completion of the installation of the core equipment for the desulfurization and dust removal system of this project, and it also sets a new record for the installation height of similar desulfurization towers in the region. The desulfurization tower has a total height of 150 meters, a maximum diameter of 13 meters, and a weight of 761 tons when empty. It features a complex structure, requiring extremely high precision during construction. The project also includes 5 auxiliary custom-made devices such as circulation tanks, maintenance tanks, and liquid material tanks. Engineering construction faces two core challenges: one is the control of lifting stability for large-diameter cylinders ; Secondly, limited space hinders the deployment of large lifting equipment. Faced with formidable challenges, the project management team of Guizhou Huajian conducted scientific planning and implemented precise strategies, innovatively applying advanced construction techniques and sophisticated management methods. Since the safe and precise lifting of the first section of the tower on July 28, the project team overcame various difficulties and worked day and night; on August 2, they successfully reached the critical milestone of 100 meters in height, and finally, on August 7, they completed the construction of the 150-meter-high chimney section on schedule and with precision, throughout the process maintaining control over safety and quality. During construction, the various specialized teams worked closely together, operating on 24-hour shift systems. Under the strong guidance of the group company, the project team coordinated various stages of work efficiently, strictly controlling safety, quality, and schedule, thereby achieving precise management of the construction of heavy equipment fleets in complex environments. The successful completion of this 150-meter desulfurization tower not only provided Guizhou Chemical Construction Company with valuable practical experience in installing ultra-high and ultra-heavy equipment under extreme site conditions, but its successful implementation also served as a highly valuable \"Guizhou Chemical Construction model\" for the construction of similar high-difficulty, high-standard environmental protection projects in China’s chemical industry.
