**A demonstration and upgrade project funded by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology – the Shenhua Baotou Coal-to-Olefins Upgrade Demonstration Project – has reached a key milestone thanks to the \"tubular bed methanol synthesis reactor\", a core patented product provided by Nanjing Jutuo Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. The \"Tube Bundle Water Bed Methanol Reactor and Related Process Technology\" developed by Nanjing Jutuo Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. is a patented product with independent intellectual property rights, and it has been recognized by the methanol industry as an advanced and applicable technology for energy conservation and emission reduction during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Among them, the JTM-type tubular bed methanol synthesis reactor utilizes precise temperature control technology featuring a \"low circulation ratio and high specific cooling area,\" thereby achieving industry-leading low resistance and high alcohol purity. Since its commissioning, it has been used in over 20 installations, including those in Shenhua Baotou, Wanhua Chemical, and Jiujiang Xinlianxin, where coal-to-methanol plants with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons are in operation. Years of operational experience have shown that this reactor boasts advantages such as high synthesis efficiency, low pressure drop, simple operation, intrinsic safety, and stability and reliability. Its technology is at the leading level in the international industry; especially in newly built large-scale methanol plants, it is gradually replacing products from internationally renowned companies, achieving full domesticization of the technology.
