What materials are generally used for vent torch nozzles? Was it said to be silver? Still silver-plated?
I’ve never heard of silver ones; usually they’re made of stainless steel. The better quality options are ceramic ones (this manufacturing process is quite difficult, which is why the cost is high)
Who has that much money to have a torch head that’s entirely made of silver, coated with a heat-resistant paint that looks just like silver powder?
I really don’t know; it turns completely black after use. Is there any reason to use the silver version?
The most common one is 310; the torch tip needs to be able to withstand high temperatures.
This post was last edited by DAOMS on 2017-2-11 09:24. I have only seen ceramic versions; the manufacturer claims it has a self-cleaning function, but it’s not clear what the actual effect is. The torch in use has never stopped burning, making it impossible to conduct a close inspection; P;P
310SS or 304SS; the ceramic material mentioned above should work as well.
