On December 21, the signing ceremony for the design of the construction drawings and the general contract for construction of the undersea gas pipeline in the Shanghai LNG station expansion project was held at the Shenneng Energy Center. The subsea gas pipeline project for the expansion of the Shanghai LNG terminal network is a supporting project for this expansion effort; the design of the construction drawings and the actual construction work were carried out respectively by CNPC Pipeline Design Institute and Dagang Oil Construction Company. The project involves building two undersea liquefied natural gas pipelines at Shanghai Yangshan Port, with a total length of 57.7 kilometers and a pipeline diameter of 1,016 millimeters; the planned construction period is 517 days. Once completed and put into operation, the project will provide stronger support for Shanghai in managing peak demand and ensuring stable urban operations, while also injecting significant momentum into the city’s natural gas supply as well as the supply of clean energy in the Yangtze River Delta region.
