Dear experts, what is the most appropriate temperature for circulating the caustic solution used in the alkaline washing step of the DuPont process alkylation purification unit? What is the optimal temperature at the top of the alkali washing tank? What is the ratio of the alkali circulation volume to the net effluent?
The alkali washing temperature is around 55°C, the temperature of the tank is between 40–45°C, and the volume ratio of alkali solution to hydrocarbon solution is maintained at around 1:3. For reference only
