Is carbonyl sulfide produced in LPG desulfurization? Also, is thiol generally removed using an alkaline solution or ethanolamine? Thank you, extra points

Use an alkaline solution, with simultaneous regeneration of the alkali to remove the alkaline disulfides.
Carbonyl sulfide will definitely be produced; our facility has a liquefied gas washing tower and a carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis tower behind the primary alkali scrubbing sedimentation tank (but these are used when carbonyl sulfide is generated, and they are not normally in use). Desulfurization is generally carried out using alkaline solutions. Thank you......

With such advanced technology these days, can alkaline solutions be used for desulfurization of alcohols? :L
