Is there any value in recovering CO and CO2 from the flue gas of boilers in chemical production? Are there any established cases in the domestic market?
The exhaust gases from boiler flues are generally used for heat recovery.
A waste heat boiler can be used, or a small furnace can be employed to burn off the excess CO, thereby absorbing the heat from the CO2.
