Recently, the General Office of Henan Province issued the \"Action Plan for the Development of Advanced Manufacturing Clusters in Henan Province (2021–2025)\\", which outlines the development goals and key areas of focus for advanced manufacturing over the next 5 years. It is proposed to focus on developing 10 major advanced manufacturing clusters, of which 7 will be worth trillions and 3 will be worth 500 billion, with the goal of creating 2–3 world-class advanced manufacturing clusters. Focus on building around 30 modern industrial chains worth hundreds of billions each, and initially develop 3–5 industrial chains for the future. Henan Province will develop industrial chains worth hundreds of billions in value for new nylon materials, new types of refractory materials, and super-hard materials; it will strengthen industrial chains related to electronic materials, silicon-carbon new materials, and biodegradable materials. It will also upgrade traditional industrial chains and foster new industrial chains for future materials such as carbon-based new materials and advanced functional materials. By 2025, a world-renowned trillion-dollar new materials industry cluster will be established. Henan Province aims to establish a modern chemical industry cluster worth 500 billion yuan by 2025, making it an important one in the country. Develop industrial chains worth hundreds of billions in sectors such as modern coal chemical industry and high-end petrochemical industry, foster specialized industrial chains in areas like chlor-alkali chemicals, fluorine chemicals, and functional materials, accelerate the transformation of the traditional chemical industry into a fine chemicals industry, and improve the inherent safety and sustainability of the chemical industry. The Plan specifies that, focusing on key clusters and industry chains worth hundreds of billions, 30 manufacturing innovation centers, technology innovation centers, or innovation consortia will be established as part of a coordinated strategy. 300 major science and technology innovation projects will be carried out, and over 3,000 cluster-based innovative products will be promoted and put into use, thereby significantly enhancing the collective innovation capacity of these clusters.
