On January 6, 2023, the 300,000-ton/year full-density polyethylene unit of Hainan Refining & Chemical’s million-ton ethylene project achieved a successful first-commissioning with the entire production process operational from start to finish! Last December, a 200,000 tons per year gas-phase polypropylene plant successfully completed its full production process, and a 300,000 tons per year loop-type polypropylene plant also successfully completed its full production process! At 22:25 on December 20, 2022, the 200,000-ton-per-year gas-phase polypropylene unit of Hainan Refining & Chemical’s 1 million-ton-per-year ethylene project successfully completed the entire production process and produced qualified products. This marks a breakthrough for Hainan Refining & Chemical in achieving zero production of polypropylene products using the copolymerization process, representing another step forward in the advancement of high-end new material products. On December 28, 2022, the 300,000-ton per year propylene production unit of Hainan Refining & Chemical’s million-ton ethylene project successfully completed the entire production process and produced qualified products. This is the second process unit to come online following the successful commissioning of the gas-phase polypropylene plant in this project, marking the gradual entry into operation of various units within the million-ton ethylene project.
