●In 2009, Sinopec initiated the development of a bio-jet fuel production technology with independent intellectual property rights. ●In December 2011, Sinopec successfully produced bio-jet fuel. ●On April 24, 2013, a commercial aircraft fueled with Sinopec’s biojet fuel completed its first successful test flight. ●On February 12, 2014, China’s first production license for biojet fuel was awarded to Sinopec. ●On March 21, 2015, a commercial flight operated by an aircraft fueled with Sinopec’s biojet fuel took place successfully, traveling from Shanghai to Beijing. ●In August 2020, China’s first large-scale industrial facility for producing biojet fuel was built at Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company, with a processing capacity of 100,000 tons per year. ●On November 22, 2017, a passenger plane fueled with Sinopec’s biojet fuel completed its first transoceanic passenger flight, flying smoothly across the Pacific to Chicago, United States. ●On December 15, 2022, a cargo plane fueled with Sinopec’s biojet fuel completed its first international freight flight, traveling from Hangzhou to Belgium. ●From May to June 2022, the biojet fuel products produced via the HEFA process at Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. were certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB). The Zhenhai Refining & Chemicals bio-jet fuel production facility produced bio-jet fuel for the first time. ●On September 13, 2023, a passenger plane fueled with Sinopec’s biojet fuel completed its maiden flight under the “Green Asian Games” theme, traveling from Hangzhou to Beijing. ●On June 5, 2024, the domestically produced large aircraft C919 and the domestic passenger plane ARJ21, fueled with Sinopec’s bio-jet fuel, completed successful test flights. ●On February 26, 2025, the ship \"Shengyou 238\", carrying 500 tons of Sinopec bio-jet fuel, set sail from the Suanshan Terminal of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. for Hong Kong, China, to supply Hong Kong International Airport.
