The facilities of Satellite Chemical Lianyungang Petrochemical have completed maintenance and resumed normal production

On October 17, Satellite Chemical issued a statement stating that the facilities of its wholly-owned subsidiary Lianyungang Petrochemical had been repaired and production had resumed as normal. On September 5, 2025, Satellite Chemical Co., Ltd. carried out routine maintenance on two polyethylene production units, one ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol production unit, and the associated raw material processing units at its wholly-owned subsidiary Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The maintenance is expected to last 45 days. To date, the equipment has been repaired and production has resumed normally. Some units achieved their technical optimization goals during this round of maintenance, further improving their operational efficiency and production stability, thereby ensuring their continuous high-quality operation.
The cost of ethane as a raw material is likely to increase due to the additional fees imposed on ethane tankers entering U.S. ports. One must not rely on others for the raw materials.
