Since the beginning of this year, the Polyolefins Department of Maoming Petrochemical has analyzed the factors that affect the stable operation of the plants, eliminated the bottleneck related to the service life of the compressors in Unit 1, and optimized the reactor temperature control and catalyst addition strategies for Unit 3’s polypropylene plant. As a result, both plants have achieved record-long operating cycles. The R&D team took into account the production characteristics of the No. 1 high-pressure unit, strengthened preventive maintenance of the equipment, standardized the operations for oil and wax removal from the unit, and optimized the process parameters. Relying on real-time video surveillance, intelligent inspection systems, and pump cluster monitoring systems, continuous monitoring of key units and critical equipment is achieved. Faced with the bottleneck of the short continuous operation cycle of the No. 3 polypropylene plant, the research team conducted a thorough analysis and, through methods such as upgrading materials, optimizing the structure, and improving operational procedures, successfully extended the operation cycle of the key equipment.
