The production and sales volume of resins specifically for IBC drums by Sinokorea Petrochemical reached a record high. In October, the monthly production and sales volume of these resins hit 5,220 tons, marking a new record. This indicates that the company has achieved notable success in expanding its market share and boosting efficiency. The IBC tank, short for Intermediate Bulk Container, is a standardized container commonly used for storing and transporting liquids and dry powdery materials. It consists of an inner container made of high-density polyethylene and an outer metal frame. Its capacity typically ranges from 1,000 to 1,500 liters. IBC tanks are widely utilized in various fields, including road freight and ocean shipping. The successful promotion of the IBC barrel resin produced by Sino-Korean Petrochemicals has not only strengthened its position in the domestic market for specialty resins but also provided the hollow blow molding industry with a more stable and cost-effective raw material option. Zhonghan Petrochemical places great emphasis on customers’ demand for stability in the raw material supply chain; it established a market task force, visited over 20 hollow blow molding enterprises, collected comprehensive feedback and requirements from customers regarding IBC tanks, and provided on-site technical support. On this basis, Sino-Korea Petrochemical obtained the country’s first UV resistance certification for IBC drum resin, further enhancing the competitiveness of its products.
