Progress of the Phosphorus and Coal Chemical Integration Project in Bijie, Guizhou On December 10, the groundbreaking ceremony for the civil engineering works related to the first phase of this project was held in Zhijin County. It is reported that the Bijie phosphate-coal chemical integration project has a total investment of around 73 billion yuan, making it the largest industrial project in Guizhou’s history in terms of investment amount. Announcement on New Coal Chemical Projects in Ningxia: On December 8, the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base announced the status of acceptance applications for the environmental impact assessment documents related to Ningxia Wanhe Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s coal-based high-end chemicals production project, as of December 8, 2025. The total investment in this project is 11.3 billion yuan, and upon completion it will have an annual production capacity of 1.0262 million tons. Maoming Petrochemical is planning to add another 14 new projects. On December 8, the government website of Maoming High-Tech Industrial Development Zone published information on major projects under development, including those related to the improvement and upgrading of ethylene production facilities. As planned by Maoming Petrochemical Company, the originally reserved 500 mu of land will be used to build 14 new projects, including a polystyrene plant with an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons, an mPAO plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons, a POE plant with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons, and a plant for the polymerization of ethylene to produce 1-octene with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons.
