CNPC Lubricants Company has achieved full domestic production of SQ/GF-7 gasoline engine oil. On December 12, the SQ/GF-7 gasoline engine oil developed by the Lubricants Company was produced entirely domestically, meeting the latest standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API). This marks a key step for the company toward local production of high-end engine lubrication products. The core challenge in lubricating high-end engines is to provide sustained and stable protection for them, even under conditions of high energy density, extreme operating conditions, and strict emission requirements. In order to achieve breakthroughs in materials, technology, and formulations, the Lanzhou Lubricant R&D Center of the lubricant company has actively carried out research and development on SQ/GF-7 formula oils. After more than two years of dedicated effort and rigorous testing, substantial progress has been made: by using a calcium-magnesium detergent system produced internally, the high-temperature cleaning performance of engine piston rings under the protection of this lubricant has been improved, by over 38% compared to the standard limits ； In terms of suppressing low-speed pre-ignition knock in engines, the knocking frequencies of old and new engine oils were reduced by 47% and 88%, respectively ； Through scientific formulation and technological innovation, the fuel efficiency of low-viscosity engine oils has been improved, reaching 5.6% higher than the standard limits ； A high-strength oil film is formed through special anti-wear additives, enhancing the wear protection performance of the engine timing chain by 22% compared to standard values.
