On January 18, 2026, good news came from the Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park: the highly anticipated 300,000 tons per year EVA/LDPE integrated production facility was successfully commissioned on its first attempt, producing the first batch of qualified 2420K products. This marks another significant breakthrough for Yulong Petrochemical in the field of high-end polyolefin new materials. It not only lays a solid foundation for the company to expand its industrial chain, increase the added value of its products, and strengthen its core competitiveness, but also opens a new chapter in the development of China’s new materials industry toward greater autonomy and higher quality. This facility is a key unit for high-end polyolefin new materials in the Yulong Island refining and chemical integration project (Phase I). It employs internationally advanced process technologies, enabling flexible switching between the production of EVA and LDPE. It features flexible product options, high technical sophistication, and strong market adaptability. The first batch of 2420K products is a high-performance LDPE material that boasts excellent flexibility, impact resistance, and good processability. Once the facility begins operation, production will be increased gradually, thereby providing the market with a stable supply of high-quality polyolefins. This will further enhance Yulong Petrochemical’s polyolefin industry chain and improve its capacity to supply products for various high-end applications, such as high-quality film materials and raw materials for photovoltaic encapsulation films, thus contributing to the development of self-sufficiency in high-quality polyolefin materials in China.
