Nova Chemical commercializes two recycled polyethylene grades

　　Sinochem News Nova Chemical Company recently announced that its two new recycled polyethylene (rPE) grades, SYNDIGO rPE-IN3 and SYNDIGO rPE-IN4, have been officially commercialized and will be sold to the general non-food grade application market in North America. These two products are the latest additions to the family of resins, both made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) film. 　　The new product, produced at Nova Chemical's polyethylene mechanical recycling facility SYNDIGO1 in Connersville, Indiana, falls into the recycled linear low-density polyethylene (rLLDPE) category and is suitable for use in areas such as garbage bags, protective packaging, shopping bags, outer packaging, shrink films and heavy-duty packaging bags. Among them, rPE-IN3 is made from recycled polyethylene (PE) stretch film, and rPE-IN4 is derived from recycled mixed retail PE film. The raw materials come from distribution centers and store back-ends. 　　Alan Schrob, Nova Chemical Machinery Recycling Director, said that the SYNDIGO1 facility has proven the feasibility of film-to-film recycling, and its product quality, stability and scale can meet customer expectations.
