On the 6th of the month, Sinopec Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. was inaugurated in Nanjing, marking a key step by Sinopec in accelerating the development of a circular industry framework for waste plastics that covers recycling, regeneration, and high-value utilization, thereby providing strong support for advancing this circular industry toward higher levels of sophistication and greater value. The company was registered on October 13, 2025, and began operations officially on January 1, 2026. It serves as the investment, operation, and management platform for the group company’s industry related to the recycling of waste synthetic materials, as well as its external interface. Its primary responsibility is to support the group company’s sustainable and low-carbon development; its main business involves the recycling of plastic waste. It integrates functions such as investment and cooperation, resource collection and storage, processing and trading, carbon chain services, technology development, and ESG management. Additionally, it engages in partnerships related to the production of recycled tire oil and waste biological oils, with the goal of becoming a world-leading comprehensive service provider for resource recycling.
