In 2024, Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical produced a total of 2.042 million tons of polyolefin products throughout the year. Yulin Energy Chemical has 2 units, with the following details. The first-phase project mainly includes facilities for 1.8 million tons per year of methanol production, 1.5 million tons per year of catalytic thermal cracking of residue oil, and 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins (DMTO) production; it also has the capacity to produce 600,000 tons per year of polyethylene and 600,000 tons per year of polypropylene. The project was put into operation in July 2014. In the first phase of this project, facilities were built to meet the required capacity, including a 1.8 million tons per year methanol production plant, a 600,000 tons per year DMTO plant, a 300,000 tons per year integrated LDPE/EVA production plant, and a 400,000 tons per year polypropylene plant; these facilities were completed and put into operation in December 2020.
