The pump seems to be quite large; it should be able to handle certain viscosities. Then why isn’t a gear pump or a screw pump chosen for this application? ?
What is the solid content of the slurry in your family’s operation? Ours are worn out too! But you guys are not as good as us!
Currently, Lawrence pumps are generally used for the inlet of slurry pumps. I heard that there is a manufacturer in Hefei who has modified them; I’m not sure what the results were
Wenzhou Jiali’s slurry pumps are also quite good, as are the slurry pumps with linings. How long has it taken for your pump to wear out to this extent? If the settler leaks, it can be worn through in a short time, that is, within one or two days ; Another issue is that the pump trips, and the turntable cannot be rotated
The main slurry contains catalyst, and the catalyst causes severe erosion.
The results are good; what we’re doing now is sending it to Hefei Huasheng for repair.
It’s been about half a year; I would say it’s quite okay. This is also a Lawrence pump.
I haven’t been exposed to it before; could you tell me in what types of applications this pump is used?
It’s not possible to use a gear pump for this pump, as the temperature is too high and there are solid particles present. The design models used in China are generally of the TPY type. Additionally, this pump has an inner shell, meaning it is a double-shell slurry pump. It seems that the high solid content causes severe erosion; however, there are no obvious signs on the impeller, so cavitation is likely not the issue. It’s better to examine the process parameters as well.
