Friends, in our coking unit, the temperature and vibration of the rear shaft of the centrifugal rich gas compressor gearbox do not exhibit any periodic or irregular fluctuations; as the shaft temperature rises, the vibration decreases, and then everything returns to normal. Please advise me on the reason, thank you!
There are the situations mentioned by the poster: one is resonance in the unit along with problems with the bearing clearance, and the other reason is imbalance in the rotor, which is a more likely possibility.
