What is the purpose of installing a mouth ring on the back side of the impeller? Why are some centrifugal pumps missing? What is the function of the impeller ring?
1. The mouth ring primarily serves a sealing function; it is just one way of referring to it – its proper name should be sealing ring, or it can also be called a wear-resistant ring. 2. The types of sealing rings include: L-type nozzle sealing rings, double L-type dual sealing rings, internally meshing single labyrinth sealing rings, and labyrinth-type dual sealing rings, etc. 3. In some designs, an axial gap is used to control the flow rate. Generally, such a structure requires measures to adjust the shaft position in order to achieve an appropriate clearance. But it does not serve a positioning function.
On the back side of some impellers, secondary blades are used to provide sealing and to balance the axial forces!
If you pay close attention, you should notice that if there is a collar at the back, its size should be the same as that of the one at the front. It has a balanced pore structure. In this way, the areas of the front and rear panels are equal, allowing the forces acting on each side to cancel each other out, thereby balancing the axial forces.
I think the main purpose should be to balance the axial force!
